Get Omline Workshop: Skills and Confidence in Social Media and Online Booking Systems

Friday 20 October 2017
Inside Out Yoga Studio, Wakefield

Morning session: 10am – 1pm: Practical social media and fear-smashing yoga

Afternoon Session: 1 – 3.30pm: Online booking systems and confidence-building yoga

Omline Training presents a day of practical digital and social media marketing and learning about online booking systems, for yoga teachers and wellbeing specialists.

Whether you have total techno fear, or have been dabbling with digital and social media for a while, this workshop will help you step up to the next level with marketing your wellbeing business.

Confidence building and fear-smashing yoga sessions will take place alongside practical social media and booking systems training. So you can look after your self and your business at the same time.

The day will be split into two parts, you can come to one or both. You will need a yoga mat, a laptop*, smartphone or tablet, and your lunch!

“I got a huge amount out of your workshop, “Marketing with Ahimsa”. It’s clear you really know your subject. As a bit of a slow coach on the topic I was totally new to the concept of digital marketing but I left feeling as though I had enough info to get going and that I understood how DM could work for my business.  I am now using your How-to pack” – Claire Plastow, London.

In the morning we will use yoga to smash the fears that hold us back from communicating to our existing and potential clients. Following this we will get stuck into using some free digital tools that help you create eye-catching and effective social media posts.

In the afternoon we will build confidence with a yoga session followed by a training session on online booking systems. Find out what they are, why you should use one and which one might work for you.

At the end of the workshop I want you to feel empowered and ready to tackle using your own social media and online booking tools without fear.

“Social media doesn’t have to be hard, difficult, time consuming or scary, I only wish I’d met Lucy sooner. A lesson with Lucy is like plugging into the Matrix – Don’t waste anymore time, if you’re lucky enough to have found Lucy – use her.”  (Graham Stones,www.brokenyogi.com)

Who’s leading this workshop?

I am Lucy Bannister, a Dru Yoga teacher. My yoga business is called Lucyoga and I have been carving out my own unique approach to running yoga classes and retreats in London and West Yorkshire since 2011. I also have extensive experience in editing websites, running a variety of social media accounts and generally doing things online – a lot of which I learnt through getting stuck in and figuring it out for myself.

I moved on from my job working as an Editor in Digital Media for the National Gallery to become a full-time yoga teacher four years ago and have since applied my skills to build my yoga business from scratch to something that can sustain me and welcome abundance into my life.

I can help you because I do this too, I teach yoga and run a viable business using my skills.

“I would highly recommend this Om Line training with Lucy – I love that she can deliver the online jargon in normal English that is easily understandable by anyone – especially those without the technology expertise” (Bryony Duckitt, www.yogabeez.com)

What to expect

This workshop will be delivered in two different parts – morning and afternoon. You can choose to come to one, or both of these sessions.

Included in the workshops will be yoga, practical activities where Lucy will guide you through creating social media posts using free online tools, and a presentation.

There will be some time for discussion and questions, along with opportunities to talk to your fellow participants about their experiences of running similar businesses.

Please bring
*Your own lunch
*A yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing
*A Laptop
*A smartphone or tablet

Why do I need a Laptop? Will just a tablet or smartphone be OK?

No, you will need a laptop that you are able to connect to wi-fi for this workshop. iPads, tablets and smartphones are great for supporting your business on the move and for Instagram they are essential. However it is best to use a laptop to create your visual imagery and write your marketing posts.

The tools we are using in this workshop are all online and whilst most have apps, these do not have the same functions or usability as when use them on your laptop. To create powerful and effective social media posts with less time and fuss, a laptop is an essential part of your office set-up.

If you have concerns about the technical parts of this workshop, please get in touch. A basic ability to use a laptop to connect to the internet and use online tools via a web browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari is necessary for you to take part.

Marketing with Ahimsa: Using digital and social media for your heart-led business

Saturday 7 November 2015
1 – 5pm
Inside Out Yoga Studio, Acanthus Golf Centre, Wakefield

Learn how to use digital and social media to market your yoga or wellbeing business without sacrificing your integrity, or your sanity!

Whether you have total techno fear, or have been dabbling with digital and social media for a while, this workshop will help you step up to the next level with marketing your wellbeing business.

To have a successful business and reach the people that will benefit from your yoga or therapies you have to let them know about what you offer. This can be done with integrity and honesty, reflecting the essence of who you are.

This workshop will explore very practical ways to use digital and social media to promote your classes, workshops, yoga therapy sessions, retreats and alternative therapies using methods entirely in keeping with the yogic principle of ahimsa (non-violence).

We will look at the most commonly used forms of social media – Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as well as great tools for finding new, and retaining current students, such as Mailchimp and YouTube.

At the end of the workshop I want you to feel empowered and ready to tackle using your own digital or social media tools without fear.
